Hawaiian Garlic Pepper Water
This is a condiment that you will find at every family get together. It is the island equivalent to salt for some. There are many different versions. Often time when someone brings poke to a pot luck, it is usually accompanied by a bottle of store-bought or home-made Hawaiian Chili Pepper Water, which is left for the hostess. Chef Alan Wong has bottles of his version on each and every table in his restaurants here.
