Hale Kealoha's Ulu Turkey Burger & Sweet Potato Chips

Tammy and Kaneala Smith really turned it out while on the set of Cooking Hawaiian Style making this amazing ulu turkey burger.  This is a great healthy alternative to eating a fatty hamburger - the flavor is incredible!

Ingredients
  

Turkey Ulu Burger

  • 2 lbs. ground turkey
  • 1 lb. cooked & grated ulu
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs 

Sweet Potato Chips

  • 1/2 lb. Okinawan Sweet Potato
  • Oil For Deep Frying
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste 

Instructions
 

Turkey Ulu Burger

  • Mix ingredients well, form into patties and cook in pan with oil or cook on well oiled grill for 5 minutes on each side

Sweet Potato Chips

  • Slice potatoes thinly, heat oil to 350 degrees.
  • Cook potatoes in small batches until golden, crispy.
