Tempura Dashi

Serve this dipping sauce recipe either hot or at room temperature with your favorite tempura.

Materials

  • 1 c. dashi stock
  • 1/4 c. Aloha shoyu
  • 1/4 c. mirin
  • 1/2 TB sugar
  • 1 TB daikon (turnip), grated

Instructions

  • Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat; combine dashi, soy sauce and sugar.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Remove from heat.

How To Serve:

  • For service, add daikon.
  • Optional to serve sauce hot or at room temperature.
  • Makes 1 ½ cups.
