Fa’alifu Ulu by Marvin Tevaga

Marvin Tevaga is a husband, father of 5, Maui police officer, musician and Lahaina resident. Marvin was born and raised on the island of Maui where his love for music began. He comes from a family of Polynesian entertainers and at eight years old, he picked up the ukulele for the first time; 30+ years later he is still strumming away!
Uncle George Kahumoku, Marvins high school teacher at Lahainaluna High School, gave him his very first ukulele that he still has today. In a full circle kind of way, Marvin is a resource officer at Lahainaluna High School.
When he is at work, you can find him singing and playing music with the students. It's how he communicates with them and says you would be amazed at how music can bring people together.
