Onion Beef With Peppers

A quick and easy dish. Tender and juicy beef with lots of crisp tender vegetables. Feel free to include or replace with your favorite vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 TB vegetable oil, as needed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded, thinly sliced

Marinade:

  • 1 egg white
  • 1 TB Aloha shoyu
  • 1 TB Shaoxing wine
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Chinese 5 spice

Sauce:

  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 TB oyster sauce
  • 1 TB Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. sesame seed oil

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl; combine marinade ingredients.
  • Marinate beef 20 minutes. In a mixing bowl; combine sauce ingredients.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok; heat 1 ½ TB of oil.
  • Stir fry beef with garlic 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • Into skillet or wok; stir fry onions and peppers in remaining oil as needed.
  • Stir fry until vegetables are crisp tender, about 2 minutes.
  • Return meat to skillet with sauce ingredients.
  • Bring to a boil; stirring until sauce thickens.

How To Serve:

  • Serve immediately. Serves 4.
