Talented singer and songwriter Josh Tatofi joins us in the Cooking Hawaiian Style kitchen to share his island favorite, The Tatofi Lū Pulu. I’ve known Josh since he was just a kid — around four or five years old — when I first met him backstage at a Kapena concert, where his father, Tiva Tatofi, was performing. Years later, it’s inspiring to see Josh become one of the most beloved voices in Hawaiian music, known for his angelic vocals and warm personality.
Today, he brings that same aloha spirit into the kitchen with this comforting Hawaiian Lū Pulu recipe made with taro leaves, corned beef, and creamy coconut milk. It’s a classic island-style dish that reflects the heart of Hawaiian home cooking — simple, soulful, and full of flavor.
