Classic Cornflake Cookies
Classic Cornflake cookies… Simply delicious. An easy recipe to have the kids help in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. corn flakes, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees; lightly grease baking sheets.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugar and vanilla.
- Add mixture of flour and baking soda, combining well.
- Add corn flakes.
- Drop by teaspoonful onto prepared baking sheets. Bake 10 minutes.
How To Serve:
- Makes 4 dozen.

These apparently are like shortbread. They are very difficult to mix, to hold together. This did not even come close to 4 dozen.
Although I have not made these, in looking at the recipe it appears to me they have inadvertently left out a key ingredient: 1 egg! You are right, there is no way these could possibly be expected to hold together. Paul Dean’s recipe is awesome!

It was okay. Needs to be a bit sweeter and could have been more crunchy and crumbly.
