Ippy Aionas Beef Tataki

Ingredients
Marinade:
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 onion chopped
- fresh thyme
Pickled Onions:
- 3 cups red wine vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 red onion sliced thin
- 1 steak New York
Aioli:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grainy mustard
Instructions
Marinade:
- Marinade steak in 2 cups red wine, 2 tablespoons sugar and fresh thyme, 1/2 cut onion overnight.
Pickled Onions:
- Bring Vinegar, water and sugar to boil in a sauté pan.
- Add onions.
- Trim fat off of steak.
- Grill steak for about 1-2 minutes per side.
Aioli:
- Mix equal parts of mayonnaise and grainy mustard.
How To Serve:
- Put mustard aioli on a serving platter.
- Cut Steak against grain and lay over the mustard.
- Top steak with pickled onions.
