A take on a favorite recipe from a popular chain restaurant here. Creamy sweet peas mixed with a tangy dressing, wonderful different textures. A crowd pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs. frozen peas, thawed, drained
  • 4 strips bacon, cooked, crumbled
  • 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, sliced
  • 2 hard cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1/4 c. red onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks green onion, chopped
  • 1/4-1/2 lb. Provolone cheese, ½-inch cubes, as desired
  • 1/2 c. each mayonnaise, sour cream
  • 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. each salt, freshly ground black pepper
  • shredded lettuce

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl; toss together all ingredients.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour.

How To Serve:

  • Serve over shredded lettuce.
  • Serves 6.
