A take on a favorite recipe from a popular chain restaurant here. Creamy sweet peas mixed with a tangy dressing, wonderful different textures. A crowd pleaser.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. frozen peas, thawed, drained
- 4 strips bacon, cooked, crumbled
- 1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, sliced
- 2 hard cooked eggs, chopped
- 1/4 c. red onion, chopped
- 2 stalks green onion, chopped
- 1/4-1/2 lb. Provolone cheese, ½-inch cubes, as desired
- 1/2 c. each mayonnaise, sour cream
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. each salt, freshly ground black pepper
- shredded lettuce
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl; toss together all ingredients.
- Refrigerate 1 hour.
How To Serve:
- Serve over shredded lettuce.
- Serves 6.
