Salmon Shrimp Cakes
These salmon shrimp cakes are similar to the more common crab cake.. make them smaller for bite-sized pupu's or bigger as a main course.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh salmon minced*
- 1 lb. shrimp minced*
- 1 small onion minced*
- 2 TB sake
- 2 TB cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 c. green onions chopped, optional
- as needed vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl; combine salmon, shrimp, onion, sake, cornstarch, salt, pepper and optional green onion.
- In a skillet over medium heat; drop by heaping tablespoonfuls; flatten as desired.
- Brown on both sides in oil.
How To Serve:
- Serves 6-8.
Notes
*If desired, process salmon, shrimp and onion in a food processor. Both should resemble ground meat.
