There are pickled mango lovers, there are shoyu mango lovers and for our household, we just plain and simple love mangoes. This is my husband’s favorite. Salty, spicy and hot!
Ingredients
- 4-5 green mango, peeled, 1/2-inch strips
- 1 white vinegar
- 1 Aloha shoyu
- 2 whole star anise seeds
- 1 Hawaiian chili pepper, mashed
- 1/2 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl; combine all ingredients; marinate 1 hour.
How To Serve:
- Makes 1 quart.
