Sake Soy Braised Short Ribs

Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless short ribs
- 1 1/2 cups Apple Juice
- 1 cup Aloha Shoyu
- 1 cup Sake
- 1 cup Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 1/2 cup Water
- 1 quartered Onion
- 1 quartered Carrot
- 4 cloves Garlic crushed
- 1 Bay Leaf
Instructions
- Season and brown ribs.
- Remove from pan.
- Add vegetables, brown and remove from pan.
- Add sake and mirin.
- Bring to a simmer to cook off alcohol.
- Add remaining ingredients and bring to simmer.
- Add short ribs back to pan, cover with vegetables.
- Cover pan with foil and braise in oven at 325 for 2.5 hours.
