A twist using island fish and the flavors of a typical Portuguese dish.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs. Ahi fillets
- 1/2 c. flour
- oil for frying
Marinade:
- 1 c. cider vinegar
- 1 c. white vinegar
- 15 cloves garlic, minced
- 5 tsp. Hawaiian salt
- 5 Hawaiian red peppers, seeded; minced
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. paprika
- dash allspice and ground cloves
Instructions
- Combine marinade ingredients and pour over fish in a 13×9-inch baking dish.
- Marinate for 6 hours.
- Drain fish and dredge in flour.
- In a large skillet, fry fish until lightly browned.
