Chili Oil (Rayu)

A version of the popular rayu found at many Ramen Restaurants as a standard table condiment. Use it as a spicy addition to any of your recipes, add it to dipping sauces or in any noodle dressing recipes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 c. dried red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. Gochugaru (Korean red pepper powder)
  • 1 1/2 c. peanut oil
  • 1/4 c. sesame seed oil

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan over medium low heat; combine all ingredients.
  • Simmer 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat; allow to cool. Transfer into container.

How To Serve:

  • Makes 1 34 cups.
