Melveen Leed creates an ono dressing – Prune Mui Dressing – it is so ono!
Ingredients
Prune Mui:
- 2 packages pitted pkg. mango dried
- 1/2 lb. lemon peel dried
- 1/4 lb. seedless li hing mui Chinese preserved dried
- 1/2 lb. light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Hawaiian salt
- 2 tablespoons whiskey
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
- 5 cloves
- 3/4 cups fresh lemon juice
Dressing:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup prune mui
Instructions
Prune Mui:
- Mix all ingredients and store in airtight container.
Dressing:
- Mix ingredients and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Serve with salad greens or whole pieces of romaine lettuce.
